Condolences to the family of Sheldon Parrish.
I thought of Sheldon today as I do every anniversary of Martin Luther King assassination. Sheldon was in my 5th grade class at PS 165. Everyone loved Sheldon as he was funny and so easy going. On that day, Sheldon couldn’t stop crying & the whole class was trying to comfort him. He was never the same after the day MLK was killed. I often wondered about Sheldon since I didn’t see him in any of the classes at school after 5th grade.
Today I thought of him again and found out he passed. I am sorry and sad as I never expected that he was in poor health.

Dear Terence,Todd and family members, Please accept my sympathy for your loss. Sheldon was a conscientious student with a great sense of humor and the drive to succeed. Whenever he came back to sub at the high school, the teachers from the "200 wing" were delighted to see him. To know that he became a published author was such a thrill. He certainly was a man of many talents and gifts. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

I wanted to let you know that my heart goes out to you and Terence. We go back so many years and I'll never forget how you all stuck together. I didn't realize Sheldon was such a historian.
