Obituary of Paula Yvette Booker

Paula Yvette was born on May 30th 1953 to two lovely parents Ralph J. Mayo and Margaret Ellen Mayo Whom both preceded her in death.
Paula was educated was in the Hempstead and Roosevelt system. She excelled greatly, and graduated from High School with honors along with license practical Nurse degree.
Paula had a passion for nursing and elderly. Upon graduating she became employed at the Meadowbrook Hospital for a short while. Mayfair Nursing Home employed her for over one decade. With a yearning to experience other facets of nursing to became an Administrative record keeper at B.O.C.E.S in Garden City, New York where she was employed for many years. Towards the end of career in nursing she was also employed as an L.P.N at sunrise living assistant faculty and the Bristol of Westbury New York.
Paula Loved life. She was an avid reader and traveler. Top of the line bowler, and loved playing Bingo. She had a passion for clothes, Jewelry, shoes, and handbags. She was the queen diva of shopping. Her model was " You must look good cause you never know who will meet".
Life began to change she rekindle her relationship with the Lord and joined Mt. Zion of Bethal Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Joe L. Hilton. She was ordained as a deaconess and also serviced as part of their Usher ministry. After the passing of Bishop Hilton Paula united with the Jesus way Crusade Church under the leadership Bishop Elijah Crawford. She continued her service as a deaconess and spreading the word of GOD through evangelism.
Paula's dying wish is that all of her family would commit to GOD and be saved.
Left to cherish her memory, her daughter's, Asia & Monique Thomas, Grandson Joel, Malik, Lateek, Her Nephew who became the son she never had, Eric C. Adams, Dana D. Adams, Eric M. Adams. Stepmother Ella M. Mayo, One Brother Kevin Mayo (Anastasia Mayo). Sisters, Janet Cook, Jacqueline Yates (Lloyd Yates) Gilda Frazier, Crystal Digsby (Eddie Digsby) Sister in law Carmen Mayo. Three Aunts, Mary Alice Wynn, Doris Gay, Ester Taylor. Besties, Gussie, Geraldine, Katrina, Denise, and Michelle. And a Host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.
