Obituary of Sharon Victoria Rose

Sharon Victoria Rose was born on December 27, 1974 to parents Zachariah and Myrtle Rose. Her early years were spent in Kingston Jamaica with her aunt, Isillima McKen (Auntie Icy). While in Jamaica, she attended the Providence Methodist Church and was very active in Sunday School and the Girl's Brigade. Her extracurricular activities included ballet and creative dancing at the Jamaica School of Dance. Her early education was at Mona Preparatory and Harbour View Primary Schools. After Elementary school, in 1987 she joined her mother in the United States and was enrolled at Wingate High School. After High School, it was clear that her calling was in Hospitality. Sharon worked for Wendy's Fast Food Company at the Flatbush Avenue franchise in Brooklyn. She later moved to Queens where she worked for the McDonald's Fast Food Company, at the Springfield Avenue franchise, and subsequently secured a job at the Bristal Assisted Living Facility in Lynbrook Long Island. In recent years, she worked for the Marriott Hospitality company in New York City until her passing. Sharon was predeceased by her mother in 2016. She leaves behind 4 children, Zachariah, Leyah, Crystal and Shandrea, a host of family and friends.
