Rev Scott Elijah shall forever be noted as " One of those one of a kind Pastors and Preachers." Rev Elijah was just what Jesus ordered for the Bethany African Methodist Episcopal Church and Yonkers NY. He was a fiery spirit filled Preacher who loved us and we loved him in return. Rev Elijah exemplified all of the qualities of a Good Shepherd. Rev Scott Elijah impacted the Bethany AME Church members, family and friends in such a tremendous way and will forever be etched within the deepest recesses of our hearts..

Scott Eric Elijah – Early Days
Scott Eric Elijah
Mildred Elijah and Samuel W Elijah Sr. your son. Ashley, Caleb and Cody your dad, and Lucian your grandfather. Lynne Turner and Samuel W. Elijah Jr. our brother.
What an incredible journey he lived. Through flatlands, valleys, and thru the mountains. From the 5 year old neighborhood superstar football player who was unstoppable with the ball. He ran back kickoffs from goal line to goal line with speed and dexterity.
Then after a Sunday service at Bethel AME he conducted his own sermon standing on top of a box in our living room. Preaching to the high heavens of what he would become. My brother Scott Elijah.

A Note For Dad
I'm going to miss my dad. I loved him. And I was proud of him. I looked up to him too. His energy, his community outreach, his work ethic. Those are things that I admire in people, and my dad exemplified it. I've never been religious, even though my dad was a leader in his religious community. He always accepted that about me. He even sought my perspective on things, so that he could serve his church community better. I really appreciated that about my dad. He didn't judge. He served. He respects people. He worked to make people's lives better.
Its going to be hard, not hearing a call from him, bringing my brothers over. Or when he would pop in to see what we had cooking. I'm going to miss making plans with him about family reunions, trips with Cody and Caleb, what games to get for Christmas. My brothers and I plan to keep together and see each other all the time, going forward. It's what dad would have wanted. Lucian will grow up knowing how much her GP loved her. I know his love is shining down on us. I just pray that for now, he's at peace. Until we can see him again.

My Brother
My brother, Scott Elijah. I will miss his hearty laugh. He always had a way of making you smile and seeing the funny aspect of things in life. He had such a strong work ethic and energy. He tried and accomplished so many different things. He particularly enjoyed his family and he will be sorely missed everyday.
