Obituary of Tiffany Alexis Lindo
Please share a memory of Tiffany to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tiffany Alexis Lindo was born on December 10, 1981, in Brooklyn, New York the middle daughter to Peter and Denise Lindo. She attended Holy Trinity High School where she was a member of the Varsity Swim Team. She graduated from Roslyn High School in Roslyn, New York in 1999. She was also a cheerleader at Roslyn High School.
Tiffany, affectionately known as "Tiff," was a popular babysitter to the Roslyn community; she loved children. After graduation from high school, Tiff attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York where she pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts. During that time, she was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1). NF-1 is a condition characterized by growth of tumors along nerves in the skin, brain, and other parts of the body, which affected her ability to complete her studies.
Tiff was strong and truly a fighter until the end. Her illness did not stop her from pursuing other interests. After recovering, she began employment as a hostess and training manager at Grand Lux Café in Garden City, New York. Tiff, who was warm and personable, enjoyed interacting with all types of people in her career. She worked at Grand Lux Café in New York for five years before transferring to Grand Lux Café in Florida to prepare for their Ft. Lauderdale grand opening. Tiff trained the inaugural staff at that location.
While residing in Florida, Tiff was diagnosed with cancer. She returned to New York for her healthcare. During this time, she started chemotherapy and radiation, and the cancer went into remission. After a total recovery and being declared as cancer free, Tiff went back to school to study cosmetology. She had a passion for cosmetics, sassy hairstyles and colors and gorgeous nails.
On December 25, 2010, Tiff gave birth to the love of her life, Trystin. Trystin was Tiffany's miracle child. After Trystin's birth, Tiff continued to battle cancer for a total of 8 years; she fought the good fight with Trystin by her side.
On Wednesday, October 19, 2016, her devoted mother's birthday, God called Tiff home. Tiff is survived by her beloved son, Trystin; her devoted parents, Peter and Denise; her sister, Deirdra; her brothers, Keto, Darren and Jeremy; her grandfather, Roy Milbourn; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. May Tiff rest in peace.
